I was traveling on a Suites Class award ticket and that granted me access to all three of the available lounges, including the KrisFlyer Business Class lounge, First Class Lounge, and The Private Room, which I’ll review next. It was really early in the morning when I first came to the lounge so there were only a couple of people (both asleep) there. Actually, there wasn’t even anyone checking tickets for access at this time.
The the lounge was larger than I expected it to be, but I suppose that’s not surprising given how many flights Singapore Airlines has that feature First Class. There were two large seating areas, one including a bar, and a separate area with computers.
Towards the back, in a hidden hallway, was the entrance to The Private Room. This will be my next review!
There was also a “kitchen” area where there was some food available, though not much at this time.
The food options were extremely limited, less than what was available on the Business Class Lounge side. There was a sign that indicated hot food was available upon request but I never even saw any lounge staff to ask for it. For reference, this was between 2am and 5am. When I came back later in the morning there was plenty more going on with lots of food options and staff.
The bathrooms had two separate sections: showers and standard restrooms. The restroom area had a basket of amenities including shaving razors, toothbrushes, combs, and more at the sinks.
The shower rooms were open and had towels already inside. Each had it’s own amenity basket similar to the ones in the restrooms.
The lounge itself was nothing special. Like many First Class lounges, the main draw is that there are fewer people around than the Business Class lounge would have. Everything else, including shower rooms, food options, and drinks, were pretty much the same.
The real difference comes in when you get access to The Private Room, which is next up in this series!
